BasisSoft Unveils GeoBIM, Digital Twin, and Reality Modeling Technologies; Presents Strategies for I…
BasisSoft (Co-CEOs Jun-sang Ahn and Jae-woong Choi) announced its participation as an official partner in Bentley Innovation Day Seoul, held on the 12th at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel. During the event, the company presented technology application cases and future workflow strategies aimed at leading the digital transformation of the domestic infrastructure sector. Hosted by Bentley Systems Korea, this large-scale infrastructure digital innovation conference focused on the theme: "The Future of Infrastructure Digital Workflows – From Data Integration to 4D Construction and Simulation." Key discussions centered on data-driven infrastructure workflows connecting the entire lifecycle of design, construction, and operation—including geotechnical data management, GeoBIM, digital twins, and 4D project management.BasisSoft delivered two technical presentations across the morning and afternoon sessions, showcasing its integrated technical capabilities ranging from geotechnical data to reality modeling and digital twin implementation.Unveiling GeoBIM Workflows Based on Seequent LeapfrogIn the morning session, CEO Jun-sang Ahn delivered a presentation titled "Demonstrating Digital Innovation through Seequent Leapfrog and Geotechnical Technology Analysis."Mr. Ahn introduced a GeoBIM integration methodology that links 3D geological modeling results from Seequent’s Leapfrog solution with BIM environments, sharing actual implementation cases from domestic infrastructure projects. He particularly drew attention by presenting a data-driven workflow that evolves geotechnical data from simple investigation and storage into a primary tool for decision-making across all stages of design and construction. He highlighted practical methods to preemptively predict and manage geotechnical risks during the early stages of a project.Presenting Reality Modeling Technology Using iTwin CaptureIn the afternoon session, Kwang-woo Ko, Team Leader at BasisSoft, presented "iTwin Capture: From Reality to Digital, Faster and More Accurately."Mr. Ko introduced the core functions and application strategies of iTwin Capture, which creates precise digital reality models based on site data acquired via drones and 3D scanners. The presentation covered the technical overview of iTwin Capture, its intended applications, and key project cases successfully executed by BasisSoft. This demonstrated the strategic value of reality models in digital twin construction and infrastructure asset management, while proving the company’s technical competitiveness in rapidly and accurately converting field data into digital assets.Leading the Digital Transformation EcosystemThrough this conference, BasisSoft reaffirmed its position as a key partner driving infrastructure digital transformation within the Bentley Systems and Seequent ecosystems. The event served as a significant platform to showcase a broad technology portfolio—spanning geotechnical data management (OpenGround, Leapfrog), GeoBIM integration, and iTwin-based digital twin construction—to domestic and international experts."Connecting geotechnical data, BIM, and digital twins into a single workflow is the most practical solution for reducing risk and increasing productivity in Korean infrastructure projects," said CEO Jun-sang Ahn. "We will continue to identify success stories by optimizing proven global solutions for the domestic environment, leading the digital transformation of the construction industry."Meanwhile, as a strategic partner of Bentley Systems, BasisSoft provides a wide range of digital innovation services to the domestic and international construction and civil engineering sectors, including GeoBIM, digital twins, geotechnical data management, and engineering software consulting.
